Applications are invited for a full time (10 PA) Locum Consultant Immunologist post for 12 months, within Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services, the joint pathology directorate of the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The successful applicants will be based at the Royal Surrey Hospital but will be expected to undertake work at the laboratory site at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to develop and expand the clinical service in allergy and immunodeficiency, and the immunopathology service. Clinical services are provided at the Royal Surrey and Frimley Park sites. The laboratory provides a comprehensive service in autoantibody, immunochemistry, cellular and allergy testing.
The successful applicant will have MRCP and FRCPath in Immunology, or evidence of equivalent training and experience, and be on the Specialist Register of the GMC for Immunology, or be eligible to be on the Specialist Register within six months of the date of the Appointments Advisory Committee interview.
