Women's and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, on a permanent contract, who will be responsible for treating children and adolescents up to the age of 18 at the Parkview clinic. This service is part of a larger in-patient service, which also includes a General Adolescent unit, Specialist Eating Disorder Unit and as assessment unit.

The post holder will provide senior specialist psychiatric input and medical leadership within an established multidisciplinary in-patient team and have a central role in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for in-patients and their families, as well as contributing to providing psychiatric & medical risk management. The consultant psychiatrist will support the in-patient team, medical lead and other professional leads with quality improvement and clinical governance activities. The post holder will also have a close working relationship with other consultant psychiatrists and medical colleagues based at the Parkview clinic. They will offer specialist consultation and peer supervision to medical and non-medical colleagues within the clinical team including the supervision of junior doctors. On a more strategic level, they will relate to the leadership and management structures of the Tier 4 and Mental Health Services.

This is a full-time, 10 PA, Consultant Post in inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
